Pieces of Halmen

Wow Filipinas. How cute are we? Haha.

What I know of Halmen are only pieces of whom she really is. I have never really worked with her nor have I even gone out to watch a movie with her. I do know one thing: she is someone worth having in your life. :)

Though I only hold pieces of Halmen in my hand, the pieces I have are colorful enough for me to want to see the bigger picture. Rarely have I met anyone so forgiving. Nor have I met anyone so resilient and able to move on in spite of life's tricky and often unfair challenges. Nor have I met anyone who would be willing to spend money and time for me, a person she has only met once, to make sure that I was comforted or that I received the package I got from my sister (remember IPM?).

Those few pieces, remind me of pieces which, I sometimes wish I had. I wish I were more forgiving. I wish I were more generous of my time, my energy and my resourcers. I wish I were more able to face challenges the way she is able to. And if only for those pieces, I can safely say that she is one of the people whom I would like to get to know more, to welcome more in my life and to learn more from.

To Halmen, my chat buddy, I wish you positive blessings. You deserve it. :)

Thanks David, Henrik, Sarita, Ari and Jac! You know why. :)

Hey, Erica! Don't think we've ever talked. Then this is a good start! Finally you wrote someone I know (oh, I for sure know Aron as well, hehe...). Just want to second your opinion about Halmen! She is hell a wonderful girl I'll always respect!

She has so much pride for Philippines. She made me understand The Philippines and Philipinos better.

The 1st time I was visiting Manila, she came with 2 Limos, 1 AIESEC banner and durian! ;-) Sweet and hilarious - just as how Halmen always is! Really missing her after reading your post!

Hm...sounds like you got some negative critics about your blog or what.

Personally, I do feel it is great to be able to see the positive sides in people and in things.

Positive imprints unleash more brain potential. ;-)

    Hahahaha!!

    Hi girls! :)

I miss you both. To Erica, thanks for remembering me. It is such a great thing that AIESEC has 2 Pinay MCPs. :) Both as sturdy and flexible as the coconut tree. :) Able to bend during windy days, but strong enough not to be broken. :)

To Jingwei. :) I hope you are having an AWESOME time and you are not being RANDOM with your life. :) Sometimes it is also fun to do FREESTYLE. :) and do it in moderation. :)

Erica, FLY HIGH. :) Nothing is impossible coz you are Filipina. :)

    "hugs from sunny Philippines".

    Hey Jingwei,

Yeah we have never really talked except for that one time in IPM when I asked you a question and that one time when me and Annika got lost in Rotterdam. :) Well, for sure you will read about more people you know. :)

    Hey Halmen,

Yep, Pinay power. :) Thanks for the confidence.

    Cheerios,
    Erica

Hm...You know I thought we should have talked a lot more because of one thing - your answer to the American Express guy at IC'05. I would have given exactly the same answer but then I was falling asleep during his session. (Shame on me! But I fell asleep during a lot of sessions at that IC. Hehe...)

I'll keep updated of your life and thoughts through your blog then.

    Cheers to you!
